I am an Australian science fiction writer with over 50 short stories published.
My debut collection Wild Chrome brought together some of my favourite stories, and now I'm working on several SF novellas including Steel Angels and Weapons of Choice. I am a regular contributor to Clarkesworld Magazine and Cosmos Magazine, plus my work has appeared in Aurealis and AntipodeanSF and a range of Australian and US anthologies. I reached the finals of the Aurealis Awards a few times and I am a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA).
I've been writing science fiction since I was a kid, but it only really took off to a new level when I started publishing professionally in 2009. I have worked and studied in and around Canberra all my life, with a ten year residency in the UK along the way. For some reason I felt compelled to do a degree in astrophysics and then a masters in technology management. I have worked in professional service firms for two decades - there's a long, puzzling journey from astrophysics to consulting to writing, with many sliding doors along the way!
I have been a little humbled and somewhat astonished by how my book was received by readers and fellow authors - thank you! I hope you enjoy my next projects as much as the first.
